Controls

• Select: click or tap a brigade or its flag (Tab cycles flags; Shift+Enter adds or removes a friendly flag); Shift+drag on the ground, or hold a finger still then drag, to box-select several
• March: drag from your brigade and release; it halts to fight any enemy that comes in range on the way, then marches on. Hold Shift (or twist a second finger) to set the facing. Right-click ground for a straight march
• Attack: release the drag on an enemy: the brigade closes to effective range, halts and fires, and follows if the enemy moves. Only Charge goes in with the bayonet
• Keyboard march: select with a flag or Army list, press B, then arrows to move the destination 25 m (Shift: 5 m). Q/E turn its facing 15° (Shift: 5°). Enter orders; Escape cancels the ghost and keeps your selection
• Keyboard attack: T chooses or cycles enemy targets; Shift+T cycles backwards. Enter orders ranged fire facing that target. B switches to march; ? opens this help. Starting or cancelling a ghost issues no order
• Camera: drag the ground or two-finger scroll to pan; pinch or wheel to zoom toward the pointer (the view tilts as you zoom); right-drag or Option + scroll to turn; WASD / arrows, Q/E, +/-; double-click or double-tap a flag to fly to it; click the map
• Soldier-eye inspection: select friendly infantry, focus its flag or the battlefield, then hold I to look along its line. Release I or press Escape for the map. The fight keeps running; Space pauses and 1/2/3 change speed
• Reading the field: under each flag is what the brigade is doing; the bar under the flag is its strength, striped when shaken, broken when wavering, hollow when routing
• Orders: H hold · C charge · R run · F fall back · X halt · V hold fire · Space pause · 1/2/3 speed · M map · L army list

Your first command

Two brigades. One approaching enemy. Hold the practice ground for 45 seconds and march onto stores to capture their loot.

Crates need two seconds without an enemy nearby. If the enemy retakes them, their loot is lost. This exercise uses Henry Hill terrain; it does not recreate a historical engagement.
